HOMETRUTHS is an independent, community based, charitable organisation.  We provide specialist services to anyone from the age of 16 who is, or has experienced domestic violence and abuse from partners, ex-partners or family members, living in Swindon and Wiltshire,  including stalking & harassment. HOMETRUTHS runs a specialist project called S.O.S within Wiltshire and Swindon for female survivors of stalking by partners or ex-partners.  We only ever work with survivors of domestic abuse, we do not work with perpetrators.

frontpageIf you are experiencing violence or think you may be experiencing abuse from your partner, ex-partner or family member please use this website to get a better understanding of what domestic violence & abuse is, and if you would like to speak with us confidentially please get in touch

If you experienced domestic violence and abuse in the past and you are still affected by it now, please get in touch with us for help and support.

If you are a professional working with a client who is or has experienced domestic abuse and you would like to refer into HOMETRUTHS please ring or email us.

If you are concerned about a family member or friend who is or may be experiencing domestic abuse, please get in touch with us.

HOMETRUTHS also provides training, consultation and hosts conferences for professionals and practitioners across the South West.

In Swindon & Wiltshire, 5,139 incidents of domestic abuse were reported to the Police in the 12 months between April 2012 and March 2013.

On average 2,500 incidents of domestic abuse are reported in Swindon alone each year.  It is nationally recognised only 20% of incidents are reported so over 11,000 further incidents go unreported every year.
